Frazier Life Sciences (FLS), a longstanding investment firm focused on innovative therapeutics, today announced the appointment of Ben Palleiko as Senior Advisor and the promotion of Adam Simpson to Executive Partner. The appointments further strengthen FLS’ leadership team and support the firm’s continued efforts to expand its presence across key biotechnology hubs, including the East Coast.

Mr. Palleiko joins Frazier Life Sciences with more than 25 years of experience as an executive in the life sciences industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of KalVista Pharmaceuticals, where he led the company through its acquisition by Chiesi Group in June 2026. During his tenure, KalVista discovered and developed EKTERLY®, the first oral therapy approved for the treatment of acute hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks, and executed its successful global commercial launch. Prior to KalVista, Mr. Palleiko served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ore Pharmaceutical Holdings and Penwest Pharmaceuticals and spent a decade as an investment banker at firms including Robertson Stephens. Earlier in his career, he served as a Naval Aviator in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Palleiko holds a B.A. in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University and an M.B.A. in Finance and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Simpson has been promoted from Venture Partner to Executive Partner at FLS. In his expanded role, he will continue to focus on identifying and developing new company creation opportunities.

Mr. Simpson joined FLS in 2024 and brings extensive operational and emerging company experience, with particular expertise in building leadership teams, advancing innovative technologies through clinical proof of concept, and leading significant financing, partnering and acquisition transactions. Prior to joining FLS, Mr. Simpson served as a co-founder, executive and/or board member of numerous biotechnology companies that have either been acquired or gone public. He holds a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
