LODI, CA, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Lodi Grape Festival, presented by Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center, opens Thursday, September 17th for another year of affordable family fun. For over 80 years, the people in San Joaquin County have been gathering to celebrate the grape harvest at the annual Lodi Grape Festival. What started out as a small food festival in downtown Lodi has now evolved into a four day event filled with great entertainment, food, vendors, grape and commodity murals, competitive exhibits, carnival games and rides, and so much more. The festival runs Thursday, September 17th through Sunday, September 20th. This year’s fair theme is “Out of this World.”

This year’s event features an impressive concert lineup with several national acts. Country music star Rodney Atkins will be taking the Sky River Casino Stage on Saturday, September 19 and A Flock of Seagulls will be performing on Thursday, September 17. Friday’s free concert features Dream Like Taylor, a top notch Taylor Swift Tribute, and a Travis Kelce Lookalike Contest will be kicking off the show at 7:00 pm. Sunday’s co-headlining bands include Grupo Bryndis with Ezequiel Pena Jr. Y Banda Vallerta. All concerts on the Sky River Casino Stage are free with fair admission. Seating is first come, first serve. All concerts start at 7:30 pm with the exception of Sunday’s show which begins at 6:00 pm.

The free concerts are only a portion of the great entertainment found at the Lodi Grape Festival. In addition to many local musicians and performing acts, the fair offers a variety of free family-friendly shows including the Swan Brothers Circus, Jack Spareribs Pirate Show, The Drumheads, The Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, and the Serpentarium Reptile Show. There are several free activities for kids including the Tractor Town play area, petting zoo and more.

In addition to free daily shows throughout the four-day fair, the Lodi Grape Festival celebrates the traditions of Lodi’s grape harvest, rich in history. The Lodi Grape Festival dates back to 1934, featuring a parade through downtown Lodi, a carnival, and queen contest. Grape murals, a trademark of the Lodi Grape Festival, first made their appearance in 1950. To this date, the Lodi Grape Festival showcases the history and heritage in the Ole Mettler Grape Pavilion, showcasing an impressive display of past queen’s dresses from several decades in addition to grape murals, commodity murals, and more.

Discounted pre-sale tickets and carnival wristbands are available through close of business Wednesday, September 16. Pre-sale fair admission is $8 per person, and unlimited carnival ride wristbands are $30 and valid for unlimited rides any one day of the festival.

Beginning Thursday, September 17, regular fair admission is $15 for adults ages 13 and older and $10 for youth ages 6-12. Children ages 5 and under are free. Unlimited ride wristbands are $25 on Thursday only when purchased at the carnival ticket boxes and $38 Friday through Sunday.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.grapefestival.com. To avoid online convenience fees, pre-sale tickets and carnival wristbands may also be purchased in person at Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel in Lodi; Food 4 Less on Wilson Way in Stockton; Rancho San Miguel on Airport Way or Hammer Lane in Stockton; or the Lodi Grape Festival office at 413 E. Lockeford St., Lodi through end of business day on Wednesday, September 16.
Parking is $12 credit or debit card only in all official festival parking lots. Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment.

There are daily admission specials on all four days of the fair:
– Thursday, September 17 — Clark Pest Control Value Day: Kids 16 and under receive free admission all day, and unlimited carnival wristbands are available for $25 at the carnival
– Friday, September 18 — California Waste Recovery Systems Free til’ 5 Day: Everyone receives free admission from noon to 5 p.m.
– Saturday, September 19 — F & M Bank Community Day: Taco Bell presents Two for $2 til’ 2 p.m. Bring two cans of food to donate to the Lodi Salvation Army and receive admission for $2 from noon to 2 p.m.
– Sunday, September 20 — Habanero Hots Variety is the Spice of Life Day: Taco Bell presents Two for $2 til’ 2 p.m. Bring two cans of food to donate to the Lodi Salvation Army and receive admission for $2 from noon to 2 p.m.
