BIRMINGHAM, AL, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Bankably™, the financial-readiness platform powered by TMB Tax & Financial Services Benefit Corporation, is celebrating the successful completion of the 2026 Alabama Data Scholars internships of Shayna Haynes and Dianna-Grace Nelson.
Haynes, a rising senior at John Carroll Catholic High School, and Nelson, a rising senior at Troy University completed the eight-week summer internship experience and presented their work at the 2026 Alabama Data Scholars Showcase on July 31st at the McWane Science Center.
The Alabama Data Scholars Program powered by QuantHub in partnership with Innovate Alabama connects students with Alabama employers for project-based paid internship experiences in data analytics, data science and artificial intelligence while incorporating technical upskilling, professional development and exposure to emerging career pathways.
For Bankably™, participation in the program for a second year directly supports its work at the intersection of technology, financial literacy and access to capital.
Throughout the summer, Haynes and Nelson worked alongside the Bankably™ team on data evaluation, platform testing, analytics and dashboard development. Their work included creating and testing user accounts, evaluating the customer journey from the perspective of new users, testing bank-statement functionality and the Business Bankability Score™, documenting findings and improvement opportunities, organizing platform data, developing analytical questions, and building dashboards designed to translate Bankably™ data into useful business insights.
Their work was not theoretical. Findings from their user testing and analysis were incorporated into ongoing discussions about Bankably™’s platform functionality, user experience and data strategy.
“One of the most valuable things a growing technology company can receive is thoughtful feedback from people encountering the product with fresh eyes,” said Talibah M. Bayles, Founder and CEO of TMB Tax & Financial Services Benefit Corporation and Bankably™. “Shayna and Dianna-Grace did much more than complete internship assignments. They asked questions, tested assumptions, identified opportunities for improvement and helped us think differently about how we use our data. Their work will remain part of Bankably™’s growth long after the internship has ended.”
